Evolution of the National prep school raquet

It seems like over the last 15-20 years National prep schools such as Oak Hill, IMG, Montverde, Finley Prep etc have gathered an ever increasing number of elite prospects. Kids are traveling thousands of miles from home to go to these places. Is there $ involved to make this happen? Those in the know please help me!

Findley especially bothers me. By all accounts I have read it is a completely fake high school. Many D1 schools have recruited players from there without issue. Now that Brissett has picked Syracuse, I do have concern about wheelhouse suddenly happening with this place.

Yep Findley was the UNC of highschool bball there for a few years.
