Golson is not really that mobile either. He has rushed for -33 yards this year. 200ish bother years at ND.

Agree that we need to blitz the back-up QB but we need to pick our spots. I really think we need to blitz less often. Can't do it almost every critical play. We seem to be way to predictable blitzing at times and they just call a play that has a hot read dump off to a RB that is never covered and seems to go for 15 yards every time. Its frustrating. Often just results in a much easier play for the opposing team.
 
Would still be a good win if we manage to. Finally one Shafer can hang his hat on. But I'd definitely prefer to beat them at full strength because now if we win there's an asterisk next to it.

The only people who will remember at the end of the year are the negative fans. We lost our First and Second string quarterbacks this year.

And people need to keep in mind that Maguire took most of the first team snaps this week according to an article posted here earlier. He'll be ready to play.

Exactly. Their backup QB has thrown 8 passes this season, and their top backup RB has rushed a total of 30 times.

Let's take advantage of the circumstance.

Need to capitalize. I assume this limits them significantly in terms of what they can run today.
 
Golson's headache is coming from nightmares of facing a Syracuse blitz scheme Shafer has designed just for him, Mcguire will have them tomorrow
 
This is a nice opportunity but folks need to realize these aren't some backups at Pitt or NC St. Their back up RBs Vickers (Bama, Clemson, UF) and Patrick (offers from everyone) were major recruits. McGuire is a very accomplished back up who would start at most schools. We have to play our very best to even have a chance.
