Jeff Blatnick dead at 55

Growing up in the Capital District I remember hearing about Jeff and I may have even watched him win in 84.

RIP.

I heard a nice commentary by John Feinstein on the radio today about Blatnick. I met him a few times and he was very gracious. He accomplished quite a bit especially after being disappointed in being able to participate in the 1980 Olympics. Not many came back to be in 1984 but he did and of course won the gold. A great story being a cancer survivor and all.
