Just Read An Article On Worst Draft Picks

where his stock was following 6OT there's no way he couldn't have declared

well the diploma is worth a few bucks. now and forever. even after the hip is gone.

run out of money ? why that never happens to professional athletes !

It's such a dumb hot take.

I'm hoping #1 was when the Bucks took Jimmer Fredette over Klay Thompson...which IMO is actually way way worse. Jimmer was a complete bust. Jonny got stuck in the triangle then got hurt.
There was an article about Jimmer in the post a few days ago. Apparently he is doing great in the D league, and killed it in their all star game. He may get another shot with the Knicks.

Post like this make me embarrassed to be a Syracuse fan. Hopefully you aren't an alum.

I thought Flynn would get another go-around after his stint in Portland. I remember watching a few of his games there and thought he looked good enough to get another shot.

of all time and learned that the Timberwolves picked Johnny Flynn ahead of Steph Curry. What a mistake. They ranked Flynn as the sixth worse pick ever., which is hard to believe.

Hard to believe which way?

Flynn relied on athleticism to be successful. Once the injury robbed him of that, half his game was DOA.

It's really a shame, because he had the skills to hang in the NBA. In hindsight, picking him over Curry was obviously not a good call, but it made more than plenty of sense at the time.

Maybe 3/4 or even 4/5.

Hypothetical: if the 6OT game ends in regulation, does Flynn get drafted that high? I always felt like that game caused his exposure and stock to skyrocket.

I have steadfast maintained this for years. If Devo's shot counts he is our starting point guard the next season. I will take that to my grave

If education was that important to him, he can go back and finish his last 2 years of school. He had the money to pay for it (and if he didn't have the money to pay for it, then I doubt the diploma would do him much good anyway)

So what is your point? NCAA players should never go the NBA?

It's amusing how you only assume the downside of because he left, but only assume the upside if he stayed 4 years.

I have an SU degree; I'm doing ok professionally but it's gonna take me a long time to make $10 million

What a waste of time ranking the "worst draft picks of all time". They pay asshats to sit around and puke out articles like that? Shouldn't they be writing about Payton Manning dangling his junk over the edge of a massage table or something?

You can read 30 articles on espn and you'd be lucky to find anything substantive in 5 of them.

if i was a twolves fan i would literally have nightmares of this every night

1 LAC Blake Griffin Oklahoma
2 MEM Hasheem Thabeet Connecticut
3 OKC James Harden Arizona State
4 SAC Tyreke Evans Memphis
5 MIN Ricky Rubio Spain
6 MIN Jonny Flynn Syracuse
7 GSW Stephen Curry Davidson College

3 of the top 12 players in the world, 2 average at best nba starters & 2 complete flameouts.

He made $10 million playing basketball, I'm betting he has some money to spend on finishing up college if he wants to.

I like when your posts go over to the dark side. My feelings about ESPN are similar.
