Kyle McCord- The QB Room with Kyle Allen and Jordan Palmer

29:54 mark, he hinted that a receiver from Ohio State might transfer to Syracuse.
Technically pass catchers. Could also be a TE, and depending on your perspective a back could catch a lot of passes

To paraphrase: Schools know how much NIL money they have to work with, and have to figure out how to distribute it.

Seemed scared of the Holy Cross and Boston College games lol

Interesting that the schedule was helpful in the decision

think the news out of that is two things, he expects a WR from OSU to be here. Yes sir. And really thinks we can make the playoff next year. Yes sir, yes Sir!

Seems like a good solid kid. Nassib on steroids is my prediction leading us to the new field of 12 in 2024.

Still not sure on the OSU receiver thing though. A lot of McCord's guesses to that game were just kind of optimistic. He just doesn’t want to answer less to that question.

Love the highlight review clip at the 38 minute mark. That was a heck of a pass. Can’t wait for that ability in a Syracuse uniform.

yep, finally watched some of the OSU/UM game highlights and how in the world the idiot OSU fans blame him for that loss is ridiculous. Dude kept them in the game and almost won it. The two interceptions were more the fault of Harrisions not going to/coming back to the ball aggressively enough IMO. Balls were very catchable. First highlights of this kid I watched up close and in detail and yowsa we're getting a good one!

Really good pod. Kyle is going to represent cuse so well this year and when in the NFL. I love how connected he is to our staff and how he himself is selling cuse around the country to others is what you want to see. We have more buzz this off season then any off season I can remember (started paying attention in like 2010). I’m sure there was big hype in the 90s to early first years of 2000s. But realistically since what 03-04 ish this is the most positive press cuse has gotten in an off season. We have created curiosities in the CFB landscape, and that’s fun.

Long way of saying, happy McCord did this interview. It was the right outlet and it came across very well. These are interviews that players with eyeballs on them get. We haven’t had that. Thanks Kyle for making cuse football be something outsiders are discussing.

This is a good point.

We've had a dearth of skill position players on offense get drafted. We thought Tucker was going to break that, but it didn't work out that way. Then we thought Gadsden had that locked down.

It's not impossible that with good years next season McCord, Gadsden, LeQuint and maybe even Villari are all selected in the NFL draft. That would basically be a flood of offensive skill position players out of Syracuse we haven't seen in forever.

Can’t agree more and this is a glaring weakness of the Dino era. He oddly recruited much more nfl prospects at defense than O. And specifically the offensive skill spots…. That’s a huge reason why we didn’t have continued success with Dino. That needs to change. If you are top half of your conference offensively in a P5 conference that probably correlates well with having NFL guys at skill positions.

When’s our last time we have had an offensive skill player drafted? 2012-13 Nassib?

Yup, Nassib was the last. Which is STAGGERING.
