What I never got is how they avoided felony charges. They flew minors across state lines with the intent of buying them sex, sometimes with other minors. How's that not trafficking? Then the second infractions were serious and happened while on probation for the first. Insanity. Easily a death penalty on the Syracuse punishment scale. #givejbhiswinsback

How can an abundantly funded institution whose sole purpose is to provide an environment of fairness and equality be so egregiously bad at practicing fairness and equality?

So what I've learned from all of this is... cheat. Just go out and cheat. I mean why not? If you get caught you catch a 5k and probation. When the NCAA issues the university the report, nod, file it in the circular pidgin hole, and just keep on going.

But but but…how would that make us look? Like (gasp), CHEATERS!!! And an institution with the stature and moral high-ground of Syracuse University must never, never I say, lose its self righteous standing.
Championships, schampionships, be damned!

If not for our hometown paper and self reporting, SU would have no sanctions.
Two people in the original sanctions had things they had done removed from the report because they told the NCAA they would sue.
Dave Bing when he paid for a couple of recruits lunches, and DC when he loaned Billy 500$ for the trip to Maui.
Had the University threatened the same action, we probably would have gotten a minor slap on the wrist.

There was also a thing about how, if you hired the law firm the NCAA recommended, the sanctions might be less. We did and they weren't.

JB should get his wins back. But, how does it work; do a bunch of other coaches have to have their wins adjusted too?
