Lydon Blocks 1 and 4

• Block #1 6:04 mark first half. Trailed the guard on the break and he has this knack for timing, along with the obvious reach and athleticism...great block and it happened to be with his left hand.
• Block #4 1:35 mark second half. This time he stood his ground in the low post and again, with his left hand makes an amazing play.

There is no doubt we need his presence in the paint and when he gets stronger, he's versatility is going to abuse other bigs while at that point in his career, won't give anything up on the other end. He's already tenacious, rim protecting and rebounding. With the added muscle, he's going to help us get deep into the tournament next year and after. Who knows. We might make noise this year.

One concern if he is going to continue playing 35 minutes like he did tonight is that his body is going to break down at some point this season getting banged around by bigger, stronger and more experienced big men. Without doubt he has a bright future and our best option right now at the 5 but he needs some help. There was that one stretch in the first half when JAB had Obokoh, Roberson and Lydon in and I was hoping that it would free up TL to be more active on the offensive end but it just didn't happen. Maybe if G and TC was in at the same time instead of FH and KJ it would have been different.
