The NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship Committee met in early August for its early annual meeting, discussing various topics related to the NCAA Tournament.

These were interesting items:

— The committee wants feedback from its membership on the concept of higher seeds hosting quarterfinal games as opposed to predetermined sites.

— The committee recommends that there will be no regular-season games played on Selection Sunday, and that also all conference tournaments are played by Saturday on Selection Sunday weekend. If a conference tournament game is played on Sunday, it should be 1 p.m. or earlier.

— RPI’s impact on scheduling was discussed. The question is whether the RPI calculations create an unfair advantage, specifically as it relates to teams playing the same team more than once per year.
