This came to me last night. If the NBA truly wants to address the resting of players situation then one way to do it is to create a maximum # of minutes played per game. I don't know what the right number is but lets say 30 since most of the guys that were being rested played 30+ with Lebron at the top at 37. It will keep the stars fresher and they can play every game they are healthy for. Will lead to teams developing a deeper bench and in my opinion a better and more competitive league. I've heard it said that the NBA is about having the best player on the floor. This would even that out a little also. Its just a thought. There are no good answers to this and its mostly folly that the NBA is even looking into it. Only coaches should be able to control who plays when.
