Papa John

acropolis is on marshall. dorians is on westcott. dorian's has the 12 greek gods subs as well
The original Acropolis was on Westcott. Same block as the florist (which expanded into Acropolis when it left), the laundry mat and the old Westcott Cafe. This was before Dorians, when it was called Fast Break Deli. Dorian used to work for Alki, but they had a falling out and he bought out Fast Break and went into competition with Alki. Or something to that effect.

He is whispering to his employee, "I am going to fire you so I don't have to provide you with health insurance and risk losing my 100-room mansion."

But yet offer out 3 million free pizza's over the past 2 years. The guy is a ing joke and I'm boycotting his shitty pizza.

PJ pisses me off because they charge a delivery fee that does not go to the driver then expect me to tip the driver on top of that.
Yeah, that's dumb. I usually do carry out anyway.

Ha. Seriously! Probably the worst of the shitty chain pizza. Nasty stuff.
Pizza Hut would like a word with you. At least the Papa gives us dipping sauce :noidea:

...

Dominoes, meanwhile, has totally redeemed themselves!

why would you eat that cardboard in the first place?

It's weird that Louisville's football stadium is Papa Johns Cardinal stadium and their basketball arena is KFC Yum center. Yum Brands owns Pizza Hut.

ignorance is pure bliss-
\
he said it would cost a whole friggin 25 CENTS more a pizza-just saw it the other day

and those against health care for all are also ignorant-
it cost more(your tax's) to treat those who dont have it-not to mention the fact we are the only major country that doesnt

just keep on listening to the propaganda and ignore all the facts-

btw- papa joes pizza in my area is garbage- but the new dominoes hand tossed deep dish is very very very good

Speaking of Syracuse pizza, can anyone help my faulty memory out? What was the name of the pizza place on Westcott near the Big M? I used to live on Westcott from 93-95 and can't remember the name of the pizza joint or the bar across the street that used to have bands. Anyone else buy a mountain bike from Eric at Bicycle Alley when it was over there?

Right in my wheel house... Graduated in 97. The bar was Orange Grove then East LA, use to see Moe there quite a bit, saw Dave Matthews sit in with them there waaaaay back. Dont think the DM part was advertised actually i know it wasn't. Phish played at Chucks around the same time. Well before 92. The pizza place when I was here was sabastinos, same side of the street but definitely another one across the street. Spent a lot of time at TAPS as well. Almost got jumped one night walking back to my place on Ackerman from a very late night at Taps... Old barrel ran probably a 4:30 mile to get out of that one, puked my guts out when I got home but was still in one piece with all my money which was probably a nickel at that point.

Alto Cinco was and still is the only place worth eating at on that street.

I bought a specialized stumpjumper from bicycle alley, use to bomb around it with my roommates up on south hill/ drumlins area. In fact I almost hit Barb Jacobs ( old womens hoop coach) one night bombing through a trail in an altered state when she was running with one of her dogs, she nor I responded favorably to the situation! That may have actually been before college can't remember

Ithaca, it's funny you mentioned Moe. Today I found out theyre opening for Blues Traveler on July 4th at Red Rocks, so I'll probably see them.

As for Papa John's, if I were to order from them I'd wait til they have one of those $12 specials they often seem to have out here(although I've never personally ordered from them). For people who don't like increased prices, stop voting for socialism(as if we actually have free elections with the diebold machines easily manipulated. I mean, does anyone truly think republicans chose mccain and romney as their champions? At least I can easily believe the results from the other side of the establishment sheep). For the other side, stop supporting these unconstitutional military forays to do the bidding of people other than Americans(some of you can figure that one out). I know, I am OT, but if things continue the way they are we won't be worried about things like sports and pizza before too long, and maybe some of you will remember this post or whatever others i can slip in before that time comes, when that time comes. And while I'm at it, I may as well insult all the pizza snobs. I like that talk as much as I do with beer and weed snobbery. Damn we are a society of ingrates, are we not?

Damn, I still don't have all my anger from the final 4 out, kind of like an extended stay in the bathroom. I think I'm almost done though, I appreciate you all for being understanding

That's the one I remember. Thanks man. Took me way down memory lane with that one. Orange Grove was my go to joint as it was a nice easy walk home. And I remember they had a pretty decent Friday happy hour.

At East LA or whatever it was called sometime during the 95-96 school year, we ended up there . we were drunk enough to enjoy the worst bar band's version of nazareth now you're messing with a son of a b!tch. big stupid dance party until a couple naked guys come out of no where as part of what must've been a band sanction streaking/dance. the few of us who noticed hightailed it out of there but a couple of my friends were oblivious because they were so into the worst song by the worst band covered by a worse band, so they were part of the naked man dance party for long enough for us to piss our pants laughing
