I think the coaches are being a little too hard on JHU and PSU.

Probably true. They had such good seasons last year and return so much that it is almost impossible for these games to be more than February speed bumps. Still it could get interesting come tournament time with these losses on their record. Screw up again and you could end up in a 2022 Duke ND situation. Of the two I would be more concerned about Penn State

5. Syracuse +1000
There is on thing certain above everything else — the Orange are going to be an electric factory all season. Michael Leo’s BTB to Finn Thomson was No. 9 on SCTopTen this morning and it could’ve been replaced by at least five other plays from that game.

Is there such a thing as a “public” team in the college lacrosse betting market? Because if so, it’d be Syracuse. Should their payout be higher than 10-to-1 given they didn’t make the NCAA Tournament last season? Probably.

I'm starting to believe that Cuse could be a legitimate top 4-6 team - I hope I'm not falling prey to early season dreams. Opponents have been weak but the offense is the best we've seen in many years. Biggest question for me is if the fogos can hold up against tougher competition and give us at least 50% of draws. Defense is still unproven but it simply has to be better than last year and goalie is not a weakness. Giving this offense lots of possessions may well be enough to beat most teams...I hope!
