His mom invented Liquid Paper, typists correction fluid also known as White Out. He had a very good life!

In his 2000 Are You Ready For The Country? Elvis, Dylan, Parsons and the Roots of Country Rock, Peter Doggett described Nesmith as the "philosopher king of country rock."

Just saw the Monkees in concert this past September 14th in Sacramento, CA. Michael was very frail looking at the time, using a cane to walk on stage and sat through most of the performance. But, his mind, story telling and voice were top notch. Overall the show was very good and he especially seemed to be the "fan favorite." R.I.P. Michael.
