the crane the crane

The crew in the support of the telescopic boom lift are inspecting something at the edge of the roof above the parking lot.

Walt's girder is on the move, with scaffold and folks under one end...might be go time...

There's a crewmember on top of the girder that was installed last...at the joint where the new girder is going to attach

There are at least two or three crew on top of the girder with the lightning rod which you are referring to. The girder at the end of the yard has been resting on an angle then lifted off the ground and it hung there for awhile now it's back on the ground crew were walking on the top of it but they must be installing something on the bottom to have it at an angle like that. just a guess. Also there is a spiral under the girder or very close to it. Sure wish we had audio and zoom.

It's time for a girder cam...

There is also a boom lift under the the middle of the girder at the top of the spiral with one or two crew in the support. The op has this girder moving at maybe 1/2" an hour? This is always so very cool to see this and get it that they can really do it is just well there isn't a word lightning rod and all!

Wrong end!? And now the op is turning the girder 360 degrees. Edit 180 going too fast, duh

What's the text hotline address for us to critique their work? The last girder looks a twitch crooked...

A two girder day!
Isn’t she a beauty?

thats gotta be officially close to half way point
I believe today was our first 2 girder day and I believe the count of girders up went from 17 to 19 today.

That means we have indeed passed the halfway point. We hoped that progress on the crown truss would speed up after the dome was closed. It looks like it is happening.

From what I understand, to date, timely delivery from the girt and structural suppliers has been a issue. Looks like maybe they are finally delivering on time.

Is there any chance the Dome renovation could be delayed due to COVID-19? Or are the crews still planning to work every day to hit the original deadline? Fingers crossed we can get this done before the 2020 Football Season starts.
