it is pretty obvious Comedy Central did not vet this guy as hard as they should have.

Vox disagrees. I think this comedian has shown a tendency to make offensive "jokes" about women, LGBT, and Jewish people. I think Mr. Noah's days may be numbered if they find more.
The Jewish thing is a ginormous stretch. His dad is swiss and speaks German. Those the joke about the car. Everyone knows Jewish women don't actually do the oral thing so that joke was a standard all comedians have. And seriously with the other one? Israel isn't exactly a peaceful nation.
I thought the rest of his stuff was pretty funny.
Here's the list of relevant comedians that haven't made offensive jokes about women, LGBT, and Jewish people:http://www.vox.com/2015/3/31/8319065/trevor-noah-twitter-offensive-jokes

That one tweet about a rapper is clearly referencing Rick Rubin, who is actually a very very very very very rich white person born of Jewish descent. Not sure how that would ever be considered anti-Semitic.
If people want to find reasons to be offended they will. Unrelated but on topic Mario Balotelli caught a public shitstorm and was fined for anti-semetic statements for posting this on his facebook page earlier this season.
and his response
Balotelli was actually raised by a Jewish-Italian foster mother
I can see why. The last 3 lines of that mario thing do not match the first 5.
