In recent years. Stephen F Austin was a god awful 14 seed in '09. Montana was a god awful 13 seed last year. Western michigan looked more like a bad 16 seed. I guess Indiana st in 2011 was a competent 14 seed.

W. Mich. is a typical 14seed by kenpom. Mercer is probably closer to a 13. It's obv. not the difference between losing & winning by 20+.

I'll add 2012 UNC Asheville who was like the 6th best 16 seed ever in the tourney as an unfavorable draw but you are right. Last year and this year it has been good not to have to sweat on Thurs or Fri.

You still have to win the game. There are a lot of 12/13/14 seeds this year causing problems for the favored team. Just b/c we won yesterday, it's can't all be about "we got a favorable draw". We took care of business yesterday plain and simple (and it felt good to watch finally).
