WOW!

I have been dvr ing the games. I watch about an hour after the game has started and breeze through the commercials and half time. I catch up with about 5 to play. I love doing that Saturday I plan to play poker at the casino. I don't think they will have the game on.

Last night I fell asleep on the couch waiting for halftime to end. I have an 8 month old and he decided he was hungry at like 5 to 10. I wake up at the exact moment they are checking the time after the Clemson deuce. So I press pause, make the kid a bottle, put him on my lap and press play. I nearly threw the kid a few yards on accident.

Isn't this how everyone watches? Delay start by 20-40 minutes so you can FF commercials? If you just have the discipline to ignore your phone, you don't have to tell everybody not to call.

I really wish I could but I have no discipline. Plus I get nervous knowing there is a game going without knowing what's going on. It's just me. I'm weird.

Whenever I have to do this, I put a handful of individual and group conversations on "Do Not Disturb." Simple to do on the iphone. I'm sure most phones have something similar.

Worst is when you have a friend or relative who insists on texting results. Arrrgggghhhh:bang:
That would be me....I would text my brother and he would ignore me. Now he has figured out that when I don't text him he knows we lost

1977: The Indy 500 was shown Sunday night on tape delay in those days. A. J. Foyt was going for his 4th Indy win, which would set the records, (since tied). With 20 minutes left in the telecast, the went to break with AJ chasing Gordon Johncock for the lead. it's at the 1:15:40 mark here:
A local news guy, one of the second string weekend guys, came on to announce "It's Foyt at Indy! Details at 11!"

We were about to get the details in the telecast.:bang::bat:Oh Lord
