I certainly agree with where it's going but I won't blame the players. Crazy coach salaries, conferences poaching schools. Stupid amounts of admin jobs. Players finally getting what everyone else already got doesn't bother me.
College sports revenue is far past a scholarship being adequate...
You see that in soccer a lot here. The early developers have a physical advantage but get lax in continuing their development to stay ahead. Can't wait to see this young man develop over the next 4-5 years.
I really think the challenge to him (and Bell) is to round out their game and improve weaknesses. JJ won't make the NBA without improving his handle just like Bell needs to add more to his game besides shooting.
Maybe they rise to the challenge because the season depends on it.
Crazy to say but WR I feel good about. Meeks, OG, Pena, Haynes, Gill, and Hatcher. Plus bringing in three highly-regarded guys in Tremble, Hornsby, and Ross.
It's crazy how quickly people forget what Syracuse is like when football (and basketball) are hot. Syracuse football getting and staying at another level of success is good for fans, the University, and CNY as a whole.
I just can't believe how good a staff Fran Brown is putting together. It's incredible.
Kudos to SU as well for upping their investments in the program to coincide with Brown's hiring.
I heard that and was curious who it was about. Interesting to see. If Davis wants to only play QB then we can probably expect some portal action from him. Would be interested to see what happens if he stays and makes a go of it at WR.
The logic is crazy. If he had a good HC record he would probably garner offers...to be a HC in a bigger conference. Plenty of coaches come and go as the main guy but end up being better assistants. Just the nature of things.
