1. Never having to ever watch seton halls/SJU/buttgers grab and clutch style of play that sets hoops back 20 years

2. Not having every BE ref against us because they have a vendetta against JB

3. Having 3 of the top 4 programs in the eastern time zone in one conference (sorry Nova you're not there yet)

4. Duke vs SU/JB vs Coach K - enough said

5. Playing in a conference which doesn't place pride in the number of bruises and bloody noses inflicted on the other team but rather actually prioritizes offense

6. A whole new set of teams who do not have the game plan for beating the zone memorized

7. The ACC bias will help us make the big dance in years where we are on the bubble

8. A awesome non-conference slate of games including the Hoyas, Nova and hopefully UCONN at MSG every year

9. Watching Pitt foul out half its team every game until they adjust to having refs who actually call the game

10. The ACC bounce that will bump our seed 3 seeds higher than it should be

Love #6 and 7.
But you should realize that JB isn't going to schedule more than a couple former Big East teams per year out-of-conference. He would think that it would make the overall schedule too hard. Look at how he usually schedules = mid-level teams in BCS conferences so he gets the RPI bump from the quality of those teams' conference schedules, but less risk of loss playing an NC State, Ga Tech or Virginia than a Duke or UNC home-and-home.

I don't get why you guys think Jim Calhoun will schedule a game with SU. Over his dead body. He likes JB, but he isn't going to take this calmly nor rationally. He's going to be very, very angry about it.

Play SU at MSG? Dude is just too stubborn. Why would he give you that platform? The gate for that game isn't going to make or break UConn, even if Texas Tech is a conference game.

Find someone else. You should be able to. But it won't be UConn.

There's nothing I'd love more. It's like watching Pitt in the NCAA tournament!
