How the $100K 3-on-3 tourney for college seniors held at the Final Four will work

NCAA basically saying -- "Hey look everybody, this shows we would pay players but we have our hands tied because they are still amateurs" . Pathetic really.

That being said the tournament itself does have some appeal and will be an interesting follow the first year.

EDIT - I see the NCAA is not affiliated with this event at all. That being said, their allowance of it, speaks volumes to me.
