Was the last time we beat a current BE team at home. Since then we have lost 6 in a row. Yes SIX in a row at home to the current teams in the BE. Overall Marrone is 1-8 at home against these teams. Hopefully we turn the corner vs Pitt.

Puke. Personally, I like Doug and think he has a lot of the right leadership qualities to be a good coach. That probably why I think it's easy to sugar coat the facts. Yes, we are more talented and better conditioned and in the game with better recruits that we were during the darkest days just a few years ago. However, as Bill Parcells said you are what your record is.

In how many of those games were we favored?

I suspect either none or maybe one.

Are you serious?

We likely were favorites in every one of those games. Remember these are home games. Rarely is a home team a dog. Cincy was Collarosless. USF had zero BE Ws. RU we were 3-1 and they stunk the year before. UConn we were 7-3. Louisville was missing their QB (having to start a walkon) and missing their All BE RB. Plus we were 6-2. Pitt we were 4-1.

So we likely were favored every game and at worst underdogs one of those yet went 0-6. Even if we were a dog it woulda been the slightest of underdogs. Still no excuse for ZERO Ws against those 6 teams!!!!

this is such a silly argument. teams are favored because they are judged as being better before the game starts. The fact that no one thought we were better than our opponent before the game started is NOT A GOOD THING OR A MITIGATING FACTOR FOR DOUGIE'S INCOMPETENCE. You seem to think that its ok that Dougie keeps losing because everyone knew we'd lose before the game started.

There you go OPA. We were favored in 3 of 6 games. And one of them a significant fav. The three dogs were all slight dogs. The point is that in all 6 games Vegas deemed us to be similar to the teams we faced. Yet we went 0-6. We cost Vegas $. We were supposed to go 3-3 according to them. Un acceptable. People need to wake up and stop making excuses.

Sorry, but you have a really bad memory.

We were the inferior team in every one of those games - we were overmanned by all of those teams.

And we were the underdog in every one of those games.

I have no way of addressing those spreads - no idea where they are from.

In every game cited we had inferior talent - there is no doubt in my mind about that.

We didn't even have a full squad for those games - not even close.

The answer is patience.

The program is headed in the right direction - there is no immediate cure out there.

I said in the beginning of the year that we could lose every BE game this year - we are not there yet - not even close.

So, the fire the coach posts - made with joy by many on this board - are pointless and groundless. I mean, the hire Rich Rod post says it all to me - it sounds like bad sports talk radio.

Ugh.

I don't know why I bother with you because you constantly argue vs FACTS. I can respect opinion but when you say we weren't favored in any of those games and then when pointed out that you were wrong you STILL argue. It is ridiculous. If we were less talented then why were we FAVORED? If we have no talent like you claim then whose fault is that? It is still on the coach. How can you say we are headed in the right direction when we have lost 8 straight to D1A teams? This is so silly. Sure we could lose to every one of those BE teams but we can also beat every oen of them. Going 0-7 would be unacceptable.

As to Rich Rod he has already shown that he cares about $ (see him leaving WV). The P12 isn't any better than the ACC. He is an Eastern guy. What does he know about recruiting the West Coast and Zona? If we offered him more money to come back East where he is more familiar with the recruiting grounds, why would he not consider it? He is at Arizona not USC or Oregon. I don't think he would come but he certainly would listen. I would be shocked if he is still there 5 years from now. I could see him ending up at MD or NC St.

Yes, I know how intelligent you are - though I was under the impression that you were a Finance major.

But, if your expectations are grounded, your ability to accept certain facts is facilitated.

We played a Big Ten team on Saturday night at their place before a loud, sold out crowd.

We were not playing with your best CB or our best OL. We do not have a home run hitter at RB or at WR. And our QB, despite his gaudy stats, is still not a dynamic player - he certainly does not and cannot scare a defense with his feet. (I think the talk of Ryan being an NFL QB is nice but pretty unrealistic).

And of course we made some bad mistakes - unacceptable ones - I'm with you on that score.

We are not good enough to make mistakes and win.

Look, I was ticked off by what I saw - I want this team to win. I thought that this was a very important and winnable game.

But, I have to think in terms of program development. I am not surprised that with this schedule with are 1-3 - I frankly expected it.

And I expect that we will struggle against Pitt, Rutgers, Cincy, USF, Louisville and even UConn.

I am firmly committed to Marrone - I was not committed to Robinson.

If you think the ACC is the equivalent to the Pac 12 at this point, you really do not understand the college foot landscape.

It's so ridiculous to even talk about this. But even if RR were to come to Syracuse University, he would face the same hurdles that any coach would face - don't you get that? And RR demonstrated at Michigan that he has a hard time with what is really SU's problem right now - defense.

Ya, we over matched because they were well coached and we were werent. They were prepared and we werent. Their coaches recruited well and ours didnt.

What do you think football is? do you think each team should start with equal talent? Coaches recruit and train talent. Dougie marroney cant do either. thats why we are never favored and thats why we lose.

0-8 and counting against D1 teams. Anyone know what the record for sucking in consecutive games is?

You think Defense is our only problem? You realize we gave up 17 points Saturday right? And yes brining in one guy can change everything see Schiano Rutgers, Strong Lville, Pete Caroll USC, etc etc etc. Every post you make is that the team is undermanned and should have lost all those games, a post was made showing you we were favored in 3 of those games and you still cant admit you were wrong. Unreal
