Years ago they would come out really late like after 11:00pm. In the last few years its getting quicker. But yes, tonight was record time I believe.

To my friends who don't like the gametime... we are playing in the NCAA Tournament. After they announced that Vandy got in, we would have signed up for an 8 am Monday game.

Yeah. At least we don't play the first game of the tourney on Thursday and we get to enjoy an entire full first day of March Madness without any anxiety.

as an anecdote, it has seemed that the thursday games favor the upsets and mid-majors. as it is, being on friday at all i think is a score, and being a noon game makes it less so that we will have some opposing fan base there in full force to cheer on dayton. it might be wrong of me but my guess is that michigan state, should they be the winner, would prefer dayton over syracuse for a second round game. obviously we have to beat dayton which is far from a guarantee. who gives a crap this tourney is house money and hope the team plays loose.

Well, I'm going to drive the 15 minutes around 8, park at the broadway oyster bar for 5 bucks, buy a scalped ticket and watch the game, and hopefully repeat on sunday. I know thats unfair but I am just giddy about su coming to st louis

I hated losing that first tourney game on Thursday afternoon in 1999. Definitely took away from my enjoyment of the best two days of my favorite two days of the sports calendar.

I remember in 2005 we played on Friday as a 5 seed against 12 seed Vermont. I knew that there is usually at least one 5-12 upset in the tournament. I remember getting that sinking feeling as all the other 5 seeds won their games ahead of ours... At least this year we're going in with underdog status! I think sometimes we play better from that position!

SU was a #4 seed in 2005. I thought they were underseeded. Only loss that caused me to break furniture. #3 seed Kansas lost later that night which took some of the upset heat off SU

ok thanks. I should've looked it up to refresh my memory. I remember reading there was usually one upset for our seed (based on one of those how to pick your bracket sites). I remember Kansas being a higher seed than us, but I thought we were a 5 & they were a 4. It seemed like the media was all over us & gave Kansas a bit of a pass!

Amazing!!!!! We make the tournament when few thought we would and people complain about the announcing team, the game time, the draw and, probably the concession selection at the arena.
