I also remember thinking that the posters who were adamant that we weren't going to miss Freeney at all and the D would actually be better should have been banned for life. There was more than a few.

Well I would hope so, considering they are an fcs team, and not a very good one.

They will probably win 5-6 games this year if they find a QB. They have a decent OL and good RB. They lack size and depth on the DL so the game plan should be run it down their throats all first half ... And then run it down their throats some more. I expect they will score a few points on us (17-21). But we should absolutely dominate the line of scrimmage. They will do well in their conference. They have a lot of good looking freshmen that will make them a very good team in a couple of years.

I will be thrilled if the game looks like Wagner 2013. I will be satisfied if it looks like Stony Brook 2012.

You're going to kick off a thread within a thread about all the injuries that the D had to suffer through that year.

At one point, I had listed the participation report from that year. It wasn't nearly as bad as it was made out to be.

2002 is probably the worst pass defense we will ever have. Which is impressive when you consider how bad things were from 2005 to 2008.

They've won 4 games in the past 3 years combined. Last year they averaged 12.5 pts per game and gave up over 35ppg. They might have a ceiling of 2 wins. They are breaking in a new QB and RB as well.

Interestingly, our SOS was 54th out of 117 that year. So we can't fall back on that ol' saw either.

But to be fair, Troy Nunes was an absolute magician that season.

They aren't winning 5-6 games. They play in the best 1-AA conference, won 1 game last year, averaged 12.5 ppg, and don't have a QB. They will be lucky to score at all. This game won't be close, and won't tell us anything about our team.
