Not a bad class at all considering the events that transpired prior to today.couchburn

Looks accurate to me... I have a feeling Akeem Jones may be #20 when he finally announces..

Technically we get Ben Barrett again.

Seems like a solid class if we are staying in the Big East. With a full year of recruiting I expect a much higher ranked class next year. And we will need it too compete in the ACC. I think we rank near the bottom with Wake Forest with this years class.

Pretty crazy that the class is only one-tenth New Yorker in Williams and Scissum. This has to be a record-low in recent memory for in-state signees; not saying whether that may be good or bad.

funny Arciniega and Miller are rated so low, especially since LA seems all but penciled in as a starter. i've seen him as our highest rated recruited on other sites

I just quickly grabbed the stars off of sc**t. I am sure they vary a little on different sites. I just wanted to place some stars on there because they are important to some.

Didn't the BE go like 5-1 or something against the ACC this year? I'm too lazy to look it up but it was over .500. I think upgrading is important but I'm not sure I worry too much about the conference as much is simply competing at a higher level in general. Is this class a step in the right direction? I don't know. We all get excited or depressed every signing day but more than stars, what we really need is for the vast majority of these kids to show up, stay out of trouble (legally and academically), and work hard in the offseason program. If these guys are decent recruiters and the stuff I mentioned happens, we'll be fine.

No LOI from Estime yet, though it seems very likely. He announces at 1:45pm.

IMHO, a lot of those 2 stars will rise up imparticular Kimble. Solid class for all the changes. I for one will enjoy Syracuse sniffing around my football program more.

A couple of them players were 3 stars not 2 stars but that really doesn't matter.at this point.
If it wasnt for most of them unheralded junior college players we would a ended up wit a even better class

Per ESPN (I prefer because they provide an assesment for each player)...in no particular order

1. 3 Star TE - Provo
2. 2 Star OLB - Hodge
3. 3 Star OT - Moore
4. 3 Star CB - Scissum
5. 3 Star WR- Cooper
6. 3 Star WR - Winfield
7. 3 Star DT - Williams
8. 3 Star DE - Trejo
9. 3 Star S - Kelly
10. 3 Star QB - Wilson
11. NR TE - Batten
12. 3 Star QB - Kimble
13. 3 Star OG - Hayes
14. 2 Star DE- Johnson
15. 3 Star WR - Estime
16. 3 Star OT - Burton
17. 3 Star C - Miller
18. 2 Star OLB - Kirkland

fifteen 3 star, three 2 star and one NR. Pretty impressive class under the circumstances. We beat out team including Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisville, etc. for players this year. Looks like we are heading in the right direction with this staff. Personally I think Johnson and Hodge who they rate as 2 star could be big time contributors in a couple years, I also think Kirkland will be effective in rushing the passer. Lets see what the staff can do with a full year.
