1959 Memories

Just came across some great memorabilia from my dads friend for the glory era. These are from the his '59 yearbook, a '59 football program and a local article. I'll post as much here and since it may limited in subsequent posts in this thread.

It's made for some great historical reading including stories and pictures I've never seen before. Apparently (and maybe Joyce can chime in on this) they used to be called and referred to as the "Pietymen/gridmen of Piety Hill".

By the way this '59 team and ED signed National Championship football is mine, had it quite a few years now and I almost put it on Ebay a while back but decided not to so it will only fall in the hands of a real SU fan that I can confirm.

Through all of this here a member of the '59 team (or family) may want to buy it as it's turning out. NOT gonna put it on ebay but if someone here is interested in it and they decide they don't want it pm me, I would sell it ($4kish). One last pic of it.

Wow this is all awesome. And great decision not to put in on ebay. I would feel bad if an item like that got in the hands of someone that wouldn't truly appreciate it.
