Higgins has it right -- I'm not paying the closest attention, but based on listening to the announcers it seems Purdue can't pass.Entropic said:Just turned on the game. Outside of the score how does CMU look. I know its early.
How good/bad is Purdue???
Yeah, CMU scored on two big plays -- the pick-6 and a long TD pass where the Purdue defenders ran into each other. If they didn't score again I wouldn't be surprised.Timonen said:Purdue is attrocious. Don't read anything into this. Noteworthy is cmu's punter/kicker knocking himself silly making a tackle. He's out of this game. Who knows on next week but didn't look great
Well Syracuse's QB play isnt great either.Purdue is bad. CMU is not that good. The Boilers have sucked since Joe Tiller retired. Their QB play is terrible.
For what it's worth, Syracuse and Purdue both played Top 15 FCS teams last week, and both won by 1 point.
(Edit: nevermind that isn't correct, they beat Western Michigan by 9).
I think Central Michigan is going to be handful next week - they're a solid club.
cmu played a not top 15 fcs team last week and was behind 16 nothing vs Chattanooga before rallying for a close win which included 4 picks by chattanooga's offense
And we needed the biggest gift from God in the history of SU football (a missed 35 yard dead-on field goal) to beat Villanova.
I definitely think we can win next Saturday, I'm just saying it will be a challenging game on the road and that CMU is definitely worthy of our respect.
(Chattanooga is currently ranked #15 in FCS)
nova is better than purdue thoughWe'll beat CMU much easier than that Nova near disaster, but CMU is better than Nova.
