1st ACC Road Win Since 2016

I think this is the most impressive thing for me from this game. We beat a team at home that we've struggled with. It's not easy to win on the road. ACC players are big, strong, and fast and are more energized at home than on the road. There were a lot of opportunities to let Wake back into the game and we stopped enough of them to leave with the win. Well done Coach Babers, players, staff, and the fans who made the trip. 7-2 feels great with more to come...

Addenda: In general, I think we've played well on the road this year. We should have beaten both Clemson & Pittsburgh. We were competitive but just couldn't nail down those wins when we were so close in both. Wake Forest was a good win...

It is. We had a three game win streak to end the 2012 regular season before destroying the Eers in the Pinstripe, but only two of those three were conference games - Louisville and Temple. Sandwiched between the two was an away game against Mizzou which was scheduled due to WVU leaving the conference so quickly for the Big 12.
