As we continue to review each posted football video (like a horde of crazed Kremlinologists) for snippets of information on what is going on with the team, I began to wonder what folks think about who may move on to the 2 deep and who may slide off - based on the names we had pre-camp.

Deep State football has always appealed to the adolescent sports enthusiast in me. Conspiratorial tea leave reading of the emanations from SU football camp is a powerful and harmless opiate. And it is a conspiracy. A conspiracy to win games. Which, in my mind, is a metaphor for defeating the forces of duality that trap us in the illusion of ego. I hope I've made myself clear.

Meanwhile I don't see how we keep Jarveon Howard off the field. Heck, put him at LB and tell him to "tackle the guy with the ball." He'll run down anybody. He's that talented.

I think they called what you posted in the movie Dodgeball "philosophizing". Nice, and great avatar by the way.

Here's the definitive 2 deep. Take it to the bank. But don't cash the check:
QB: Dungey and Devito
RB: Strickland and Neal
TE: Pierce and Hackett
WR1: Butler and S Johnson
WR2: Custis and Queeley
Slot: N Johnson and Riley
LT: Conway and P Davis
LG: Roberts and Adams
C: Servais and Byrne
RG: Heckel and D Davis
RT: Martin and M Clark

DT: Slayton and Black
DT: Williams and Ruff
DE: Robinson and Berry
DE: Coleman and Jonathon
LB: Guthrie and Cullen
LB: Whitner and Armstrong
Nickle: Cordy and Stitz
CB1: Bradshaw and T Williams
CB2: Fredrick and Jones
S: Foster and Clarke
S: Cisco and Jonas

Like it, but thought Custis was working in the slot? Like him there.

Not SNLs best but he had a few funny skits...sorry back to the 2 deep.

Adams over Heckel at RG, Melifonwu over Jones for back up CB2, not sure who our 4th safety will be but i don’t think it’ll be Jonas (still has a large brace on his knee in the pics i saw of him from camp). agree with the rest.

Agree with these edits. Also think Nykeim has not overtaken Riley for first slot either. Riley seems to steadily keep improving a bit each year and has added a little bit to his small frame.

If a 4th safety is needed and Jonas isn't healthy I think it would likely be Cordy playing with Stritz or maybe even Trill coming in at Nickel instead. Need to get Trill on the field somehow.

Also think Strick and Moe split carries about 50/50.

Havent heard anything about stritz lately. I almost hope whitner switched out to the nickel if cordy’s not in.

Whitner is confusing, he always had the build of a safety, could hit but was weak on coverage. Now,, he is an undersized LB .

I'm sorry, but this is an outrage and the record needs to be corrected as soon as possible.

The gif that was posted is of Stuart Smalley - "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it people like me".

Deep Thoughts were by Jack Handey.

This is significant because "Deep Thoughts" was hilarious and Stuart Smalley was one note and not particularly funny.

Carry on ;)

So, you want me to sign the back of the check, drive it all the way to the bank, go inside, but never hand it to the teller?

don't care that he's a true freshman, it's obvious the kid can carry the rock. Have heard more from him than Strick that's for sure. If he's better, you put him on the field.

I know ive repeated it several times but we need melifonwu and coley to step up. Not sure how much I trust two deeps with Carl Jones and Stritz.

For some reason I always had this feeling that Melifonwu would be the punt returner SU hasn't had in a long time.

What makes you trust Melifonwu and Coley more than Stritz? They're all the same class and have the same amount of game experience in the defensive backfield.

So you saying he shouldn't write a check...typical CPA. Who cares about your financial reserves.

I write checks all the time my body can't cash.

Burpees are my death. Yeah they look simple enough but after about 8 of them just shoot me.
