2011 Tulane Game Was Worse

That Tulane team was awful, with no identity and we barely escaped. Not to mention a mid-season game, the mistakes should have been addressed by that point. Not to mention FHCDM was still at the helm. That FCS team last night would have torched Tulane. Just sayin.

Except we outplayed Tulane all game. It shouldn't have been that close.

Agree 100%. What was worse was the broadcast. I think Deuce McAllister was even worse than Al Groh, if you can believe it. Plus, Tulane had about 600 people there. That throws off a team, no doubt.

I was at that game - there were at least as many SU fans there. And that's not saying much for us, there just couldn't have been more than a couple hundred on their side.

I was there to and remember Gator and LSU fans looking at me and my wife strangely as we walked from the stadium back to our hotel with our SU gear on. Some of the LSU fans though we were Gator fans at first, then they were like "Syracuse?".

That was the least amount of people at a game i have ever witnessed. High school, or at any other level. Very serial.

I loved being in New Orleans and hanging with su fans. Had a beer with Doug Marrone on Bourbon street and chatted with Floyd little for a bit. The game was disappointing and 1000 people in the superdome is eery, but the trip was great. Got a great pic of my very drunk friend directing traffic with a mounted cop standing behind him before pulling him away. Yesterday's game was similar in that the game was disappointing, but we did win and it was exciting at the end. Net result was positive...
