The latest 2013 FBS Private School Football Rankings can be found here.

There's not too much change at the top of the rankings after the first week of play, though 3 schools (Vanderbilt, BYU, Tulsa) tumbled from the polls.

This week features two all-private affairs, as Syracuse travels to Northwestern and Wake Forest travels to BCU.

Private schools went 9-6 last week and should do a bit better this coming weekend.

Week 1 Results [9-6, picks: N/A]
Syracuse 17 vs Penn State 23
SMU 23 vs Texas Tech 41
BCU 24 vs Villanova 14
Wake Forest vs Presbyterian 7

Baylor 69 vs Wofford 3
TCU 27 vs LSU 37

Tulsa 7 @ Bowling Green 34
Notre Dame 28 vs Temple 6

Was just thinking/realizing the other day that there are only 12 private schools among the 65 that are/will be part of the Big 5 conferences. SIX of them are in the ACC, if you include Notre Dame.

Pretty crazy.

12/65 is better than 17/124 (or whatever the number is this week)
TCU was a late add from the MWC. I would expect BYU to join the club at some point... probably via the Big XII.

Tulsa, Tulane and SMU thought they'd hit the jackpot as well, only to find that the disintegrating BE is nothing more than fool's gold. Rice seems to have quietly accepted their fate.
