Syracuse football hosts camps where high school players from across the country come to the campus. They participate in a combine like camp, which accomplishes two things. They get feedback from division one coaches and Syracuse gets a close look at potential recruits.
In the past, they have found some talented players during these events. One that immediately comes to mind is 2015 five star tight end Chris Clark. At the time of the camp, he was an unknown, unrated prospect. The Syracuse camp was where everything started for him.
Could Syracuse find such a talent again this year? The first one is on Saturday, June 6th. There will be six other one-day camps throughout the rest of June.
Here is a list of those attending the camp. In addition to the camp attendees, offensive tackle commit Cam DeGeorge will be visiting.

Camp Reactions
Syracuse held their first of seven one day camps on Saturday. Several prospects gave their reactions to CuseNation.com.
2016 QB Shamir White: “It was great. (They said) I was the top quarterback there. I was one of the people they were mostly talking about. They want to go over the camp film. They said I’m very close to an offer. They will let me know what’s going on next week.”
2016 DT Ibn Foster: “It was great. I liked it a lot.”
2016 DE Chima Dunga: “It was pretty good. Coach Acosta wants me to call him tomorrow. They liked my performance.”
2016 OLB Matthew Smith: “Camp went well. I recorded the third fastest three cone drill and fith fastest shuttle. The campus is beautiful too. They liked what they saw. Both the head coach and linebacker coach said they thought I looked real good and fast. The next step is looking at my grades, so I’ll be in contact with them.”
2016 ATH Earnest Edwards: “Great actually. I believed they liked me. They just said they are going to sit down and talk Monday and one of the coaches is going to bring me up. I think I did very well at both receiver and corner.”
2016 ILB Dyland Niedbalski: “It was a great camp. It helped me gain exposure but helped me grow as a linebacker also. Definitely worth a return back.”
2017 QB Keshawn Howard: “It went great. The coaches seemed very interested and they said I had a great camp. Saying they will keep in contact. I think I did very well.”
2017 ILB Jack McGowan: “It went great. I loved the atmosphere there. Good position work and instruction from coach Lea. I’m headed to B.C. next. It was my first time meeting the coaches, so it was a good first introduction.”
2018 QB Josh Comune: “Coach A said I’m in line for an offer. He says he’s going to watch me and Shamir’s film and get back to us Monday. It probably won’t come until the season because he says he needs to see some varsity film though.”
2018 RB Brendan McKeon: "It was great. I had a good time. I love the new field house. They said I did a good job. I talked to them a lot. They were nice and positive."
