They beat our butts.

I love it. I watched the game. You can check the stats. Clemson and FSU beat our butts. If your within 8 for most of the 4th? Not a butt beating.

They are good. They will be favored. But for the first time since joining the ACC we get them early in the season. Dungey has never played against NC State. We got a shot.

P and Marrone did just fine. if an overrated Louisville who finished 6-6 is the giant that Grob punched out, doesn't compare to Tech last year. We do need actual wins, agree there.

Actually referring to that miracle he pulled at ND after already getting canned, agree Kragthorpe's Cards were sub par.

Yeah I'm not using Lamar Jackson as a benchmark to assess anything.

As for system... I lost faith in P, didn't believe in GRob, didn't buy in to Marrone until he sped up the offense.

Babers' system is on a different level.

All I am saying is if you lose a football game that you scored more than 60 points in, you might want to keep your eye on the situation. I'm not asking for Tide level defense here, just something functional. Giving up 76 points in regulation isn't functional.

Ah, ND. Beating Weis? Great but still not as impressive as the Va Tech win, but it was damn funny

It's like talking to a wall, but I'll try again:

1. I'm not saying we were better or we deserved to win. I'm not saying we'll be favored. I'm not even saying we'll win.

2. I'm implying that being down 1 point with 10 seconds to go in the 3rd Q does not equal a "butt beating"

3. Our best player at the most important position has never played a down vs this team in his 2 years

4. We got a shot. You disagree?!

Anybodies w/l predictions change after week 1?

I'd say our chances vs Pitt and MTSU went up the most. Followed by a slight increase from insanely improbable for FSU, to just plain old improbable with Francois's injury. CMU looked bad.

BC looked bad, but Brown looked ok at QB.
Ville and NC State looked like good teams with holes in their secondary play.
Any questions about Clemson's O taking a major step back looked foolish. (They won't be as potent with this QB, but still good enough to make it very difficult to pull off).
Wake played a team like us and looked like us. No change (I think we get them at home).

I'm thinking 6 wins is more likely than it was, with 7 looking a bit more realistic than previously thought..

6-6 with a win this weekend. I'm concerned about this game though. Could easily be 5-7.
