3rd Qtr almost got them again, but that was a magnificent opener!!

It was a fun game but completely unsustainable style of play
Knox can be Tatum good in a few years

Frank needs to be more aggressive
Damn look at that box score

Garden fans are awesome so I hope you guys get better.
Dolan sells the team would be a nice start.
If Porzingis plays over 30 games I will be shocked.
Just develop your young players and play fun basketball.
Since the lottery odds have changed you don’t need to go full tank.
East isn’t that tough in the middle.
Boston, Toronto, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Washington, Indiana are playoff teams.
The rest are fighting for spots from Miami, Charlotte, Detroit and what the hell New York.

Knicks have averaged 29 wins a game the last 5 seasons... sounds about right for this year.

Even though Knicks fans / media is typically overrating some of their young, they are not bad either and are heading in the right direction.

I love what the Knicks are doing. They are just collecting as much young lottery talent as possible and seeing who sticks. Playoffs w KP this season might have been a reach, wo him, forget about it.

knicks could be a playoff team next season. For that to happen we will need:

1. 100% return of KP
2. Several of the young players to prove they are the real deal. Love what I have seen from Trier, he should be starting at some point this season. Trey Burke may never be a star, but I think he can be an average to above average PG. Knox is talented, but raw, he needs to get stronger and to develop more consistency. Vonlah could be a big surprise. He may just be able to step in and start if they let Kanter walk for salary issues. Robinson - very elite athleticism, also very raw -huge upside. No to mention that Hardaway is still pretty young. He flashes star level talent, but so far is not consistent enough to be a star, maybe this is the season he matures into a star role since he will be the #1 option until KP returns. Not sure Frankie has enough O to be a long term starter, but he should definitely be a rotation specialist. Herzonga should also be at least a rotation guy, maybe more. So far, it appears only Mudiay amongst the young talent can be written off.
3. i expect them to be in the lottery, gotta secure another good pick.
4. They will have cap room for a free agent. If by any chance that free agent was named Durant or irving they could be much more than just a playoff contender.

FWIW: I am done with KP.

Trade that overrated, already peaked player.

What would interest you from the Jazz roster for KP?

The idea of Gobert and Zingus as a frontcourt combo is drool worthy.

He’ll be fine 2nd or 3rd banana for sure, just not the top...which is what he’s doomed to fail at here.

We need to develope some 2nd and 3rds and get a top banana to come here.

Nobody will want to come to play his oft-injured and presumably marquis arse.

The 22 year old already peaked?
He’ll make a nice stand up 7’+ 3pt shooter for some team.

After the knee, I’d say take Shawn Bradley’s career and add 7-8 points a year to his stats because of 2-3, 3s a game.

Kaiser man the Celtics offered the Knicks the Tatum pick 2 years ago for Porzingis and the Knicks declined.
Porzingis if he stays healthy is Dirk like.
Look at Porzingis numbers
Kristaps Porzingis Stats | Basketball-Reference.com
Compared to Dirk
Dirk Nowitzki Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

He can easily be a top 10 player in the league.

This board is great.

Future HOF Eli gets shlit on daily, while a perennial 20 game winner, often injured,..now seriously, Uber-skinny European big man who hints he doesn’t want to stay here...gets put on a pedestal and called Dirk Pt II.

I’ll take Gobert and Mitchell if u love him so much

I don't. I wouldn't mind the Knicks selling low on him though.

I am like 90% as high on KP as I was a year or so ago, but I still think he can be a great player. There just aren't that many guys who can stretch the court and protect the rim like he can. (or could, I guess he could totlaly suck after the injury but I doubt it)l

I am totally selling him off the injury.

I just don’t see how that tall of a guy will ever be the same or reach his potential.

Bullshit flagrant on Kanter last night cost them the game.
