2018 Roster Up

That's sort of surprising. he wasn't an effective runner, but he was a really good run blocker.
Maybe so, but you can't waste a schollie on a guy who's a situational run blocker imo.

Now, you can get work from him at nose or 3-tech AND he can still fill his other situational role.

Good move, for depth purposes alone.

I would love to see Perkins get run at safety this season. Kid has the physical tools to be a knockout SS. Let's see if ol' Swag Daddy can coach him up.

To go back to past poster’s worries, I now also worry about dungey being too big. I get it, he needs to be big to take the hits he takes but it must effect his mechanics. I know DeVito’s dad shared the same worry with the conditioning staffs allowing our qb’s to gain so much unnecessary muscle

I hope it doesn't effect his mechanics. I remember with Nassib the staff had tell him to lay off the weights a little.

Yep - I thought exactly the same thing when someone posted a video of TD doing some lifting. He looked like a cut LB.

If ur a shoulder mobile person such as I or my son, being bigger never effected my mobility. If they are a tight and compacted shoulder naturally then u have a problem with gaining muscle. Each kid has their strengths and weaknesses. I trust the strength coaches. If mobility is an issue, I am sure the coaches would be stretching them and getting their rotator cuff loose enough for their job.

Maybe he realizes his payday is as a Wr/TE

Love these types of pictures
My attempt to identify the folks in this picture, starting at noon and going clockwise.

Kleinberg (31) apparently moved from TE
Strickland (standing)
Pierre (sitting; 22)
Guida (blond hair)
Erickson (3 pm)
Neal (6 pm)
Zaccardo (tan hat)
Elmore (9 pm; black jacket)
Coach Lynch (standing)
Abdul Adams (seated; 11 pm)

I would imagine the staff stays very observant of the players builds and mechanics...I'm not too worried there. If someone is looking large, it’s not accidental, there is a purpose in mind would be my guess.

Quick thought-You'd like to think with Lynch moving over from OL to RB, at the minimum our RB's should be able to block better...Unless you don't think the OL blocked well :)

I think Stritz projected better at S but wanted to play RB. I hope he understands this is his way to the field.

I understand but he was promised a legit shot at rb here at CUSE. He was offered as a db at Michigan. Wanted a shot at rb. Never got that.

A friend of mine said they have seen Dungey and he thinks he gained another 10 lbs of muscle. Said he truly looks like a linebacker.

That's great and all, but he doesnt need more beef. He was optimal last year. He needs to maintain his speed and flexibility .
