They lost in the Semi's to Brave, who is comprised of mostly Hopkins, Stony Brook, LIU Post, Detroit Mercy, UMBC, and Lehigh players that eventually went on to win the whole tournament. Was hoping that Fire could’ve made it to the championship game so we could watch them on ESPN3 but at least they got to bond and create some chemistry before they get to campus.

Still waiting for IL to write up their last article on the tournament and who impressed them on Sunday’s round of games. But lets be honest here-- its no secret that Ty Xanders, Terry Foy, and Dan Aburn dont like Syracuse so the 'cuse players will most likely get snubbed, but we'll see.

“Liked” by jack savage, cuse FO commit. Nice!

All and any commits from any d1 could have registered for this. Held in infested Baltimore, home of Jhu n a costly social. Cuse top recruits in 19 class did not attend event so take little from results. Only surprise was reading about how good Lafayette recruits looked. Marist as well

I think it's also important to note that Offense is what gets typically gets attention. The 7 Cuse commits comprised of 2 FOGO's, 3 Dpoles, 1 Mid, & 1 Goalie.

I had a good friend watch both games yesterday. Here is his take.
  • Kline & Talago are both capable FOGOs. They started both games slow but were dominant as the game progressed. However, it was hard to tell how good their competition was.
  • Ulmer was incredible in both games, very athletic and made some unbelievable stops.
  • Woody is smooth, fast, plays good defense, passes well and showed he could create his his own shot. Not sure he came off the field and was gased by each games end.
  • Clary played close D and LSM. Very athletic, good speed, caused a lot of TO's, had lots of GBs and had a nice goal. However, he did make a few mental mistakes on clearing.
  • Drago ran LSM the entire time. Was good on GB's, very aggressive, good on gb's; however his defense was questionable at times. Didn't recall seeing him shoot but heard that he had a canon that connected on earlier in the tournament.
  • Derby is smaller but very aggressive. Didn't remember many take aways but said he played solid defense and was great on clears.

Unless you live on LI or BWI it is a ton of work and lots of money to hit the circuit and get in front of IL or ty Xander’s. Neither a plus or a minus IMO. If Desko is shopping IL we are in trouble. Watched Maher at NLF play for 9th place. He is a terrific catch for someone. Wasn’t best player on field that day. Tons of great talent that doesn’t make the IL list or get love on that social media board.

Agree though a couple of our 19 recruits live on lax circuit but received no mention at this latest UA event . Seems decommit Blake who is Harvard bound has drawn mentions wherever he has participated.

UA 'Invitational" is pay for play so every d1 commit from any school can play. Read alot on kids from lesser lax programs such as Marist, Lafayette, Detroit Mercy because talent pool is deeper than ever.

IL/RR rankings do a good job on Top 25 but talent pool flattens and extends beyond and even some prime prospects struggle to make impact at the top tiers.

Most coaches check IL/RR rankings for reference but Desko staff relies mostly on field contacts and attending some major tournaments. Have spotted them at H.S. fields inconspicuously dressed taking looks at unranked kids many who are multi sport athletes who dont have the time or pockets to be 24/7 laxers. Can beech about them not pampering, massaging and kissing sss but htey dont sit back and wait for calls as charged by clueless critics.
