Sooner or later, someone is going to ask why we need all the high-priced help (currently on the IL) when we're winning without them with guys making a fraction of what the A-Team gets.

Thing is, not that many guys really get paid. Stanton, Tanaka and Ellsbury make over $20M, Chapman and Happ make $17M, and Britton, LeMahieu and Sir Didi are the only other players over $10M.

Everybody else is on a pretty reasonable contract or makes (relatively) small potatoes as a young player.

The Judge/Kraken/Andujar/Torres quartet all make $600k each.

He been up and down a few times, but basically he’s CCs replacement

I won't include Maybin (who was a desperation pick that's working out), or Ottavino/Paxton (both proven and coveted).
