No way that part about him not being able to guard high level guys is true and that’s with my orange goggles removed (at least I think they are). He can’t but Jack Rapine who hasn’t played in two years and when he did play wasn’t even getting assigned top guys on a defense allowing 13 goals a game can? Probably just going mll for one reason or another.

Pat Spencer dominated but can’t remember many others taking to Nick Mellon. Yet I have major orange glasses and have enjoyed Nick’s game since day one.

Yeah this seems really foolish on the part of the PLL. He’d be the perfect defender to match up against a whole host of PLL attackmen, including Ament, Garnsey, Holman, Manny, Kavanaugh, etc. so foolish given that he’s already guarded against most of these guys already and done very well. Maybe he wants to play MLL and PLL didn’t want to waste a pick on him. Just foolish.

There were a couple stinkers that I recall , all good defenders get scored on. His distractors will say he's smaller, prone to injury and not the right matchup for everyone. Who is?

My sense on Mellen and Krauss is that they likely got special deals from MLL as marquis players...MLL has lost so many big names to PLL that they need to land guys like Mellen and Krauss to stay relevant, so I am going to guess they are going the extra mile for this kind of talent.

Either way, wish Mellen would have come back and gone for the Chip - it would have done him some good from a negotiation standpoint as his stock would have risen if he played a big part in making it happen . I am also going to guess that there will be no Pro lacrosse this year anyway, regardless of what PLL is planning, so he could have picked up pro Summer of 2021anyway.

Sweet! This was clearly in the works. Any theory or insider info that he wasn’t drafted in PLL because he is too short or whatever is 100% total nonsense. Who are these behemoths at attack in the PLL whose game plan is to body up and overpower defenders?? The only one that comes to mind is Ben Reeves and I’m not sure he’s even on a team any more. Maybe Miles Thompson or Wes Berg? This isn’t like college to the NBA in b-ball where everyone is way taller and stronger. The vast majority are guys beating you with speed, finesse, and shiftiness, guys that he eats up for breakfast.

One week season, with only two days of training camp. Playoff start first day of the PLL season. I am just not sure this makes any sense at all.
