Syracuse beats Duke to win the ACC Tournament in a very ugly game 60-59.

With less than a minute remaining Duke had the lead 59-57. Elijah Hughes hit a clutch 3 to give Syracuse the lead 60-59, with 58 seconds left. Duke regained the ball, Wendell Moore missed and Buddy Boeheim got a clutch rebound with 40 seconds left. Duke allowed for Syracuse to run down the clock, and after Syracuse missed Duke got the ball with 12 seconds left. Tre Jones took a long three that missed, and after a long offensive rebound Cassius Stanley followed with another long shot that missed. Syracuse wins the ACC.

Syracuse's defence was key as it only allowed Duke to shoot 31% overall and 15% from three. Sounds about right... Syracuse found a way to contain Vernon Carey, only allowing him to get 8 field goal attempts and 16 points overall.

As for Syracuse they were once again led by ACC tournament MVP Marek Dolezaj who had 18 points and 11 rebounds. In the last 3 ACC games he steeped up and scored 19 points a game. His frontcourt partner, Bourama Sidibe, had a solid 8 point, 13 rebound performance. Together they kept the offensive board battle relatively close with Duke winning 13-9..

Elijah Hughes struggled shooting 3-10, but with 6 FT's still had a key 14 points in a tight game.

Syracuse won despite the Buddy Boeheim and Joe Girard backcourt really struggling. The two shot a combined 5-27 and 3-15 from three.
