Are we?
Without question.
Are we?
I'm Googling around, and I can't find that $800k number, so maybe I'm mistaken. I did find reference, though, that Cuse offered to match the $900k that Mississippi State gave to Zach Arnett.
To your point, not as many coordinators in FBS make $1m as I thought, so perhaps my $1M assumption is too high - but there are indications coordinator pay is in the very high 6 figures.
McNeese is 1-4 on the season, with a loss to a D2 team, and the school is broke beyond broke. Broke to the point that they are one of the reasons that other Southland teams are seeking greener pastures in the new WAC. So emphatically YES.Are we?
Okay, according to 2019 statements from McNeese, the entire football staff (including coaches and support staff) made about 960k collectively. So that $180k is likely far more in the ballpark than the number I originally pulled. I wish I could remember where I got that $800k from.Yea, 800k sounded way too good to be true. So 180K makes much more sense. If 'Cuse was matching that 900K they were not doing it based on salary alone, not close. Gilbert and White make a good buck for sure, but 1M is very high.
Stanfords HC & coordinator positions are endowed. That is why Shaw is so high. The market is basically what the donor has endowed.Wow, Stanford has the cheese.
