Love it! THANKS for the good work.

Is Lockett, DL, a Fr1 or Fr2?

It’s crazy how young our LB’s and DB’s are.

Thankfully the majority of them have gotten game experience, so let’s hope they’ve learned from it and can keep building upon it.

I know some of this was discussed in a different thread, but several things jumped out to me:
  • We are lucky that our Senior DL came back. If they all pick up and leave, our starting DL is Harper, Okechukwu, and ?. That's not even getting into the 2-deep. The incoming Freshman have a good chance to get into the 2-deep and possibly start next season if they build up their bodies this season. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Geer starts in 2022. A little disappointed Linton actually lost a pound. He looks like he has a ton of potential, but can't see him holding up at 225.
  • All the weights end in 0 or 5, so it seems they gave an estimation of every one this year. Not sure why-Haven't done so in the past.
  • As Money mentioned elsewhere, it seems everyone grew an inch in the offseason. We must have a revolutionary S+C program that not only gets the guys stronger, but even taller. Something we should utilize on the recruiting trail : )
  • Weight gains that caught my eye: Bear going from 270 to 285, Taj from 172 to 180, Elmore down to 265 from 283, Nunn from 182 to 190, Jahad from 191 to 200, Harper down from 290 to 285, Vet from 283 to 295, Barclay from 284 to 290, Rondi losing 8 pounds and now 260, Black from 284 to 290, Roscoe from 260 to 275, Courtney J. from 173 to 185, Benson from 230 to 240.
  • Of the incoming Freshman, impressed with the size that the OL have put on since last season. If Hough can run at 255, he will not be fun to tackle.

Unfortunately, if Dino’s not back next year many of these young players will probably be in the portal.

We’re winning 8+ games so there is no need to contemplate.

Extra line depth, experience and improved coaching turns this unit around

Devito will be good+ and Shrader will still compliment playing an important role (80/20 split)

RB unit best since Mungro was a frosh?

Wr weakest unit but will be ok, hopefully we get a frosh surprise

Defense going to be the best since DM years with only question mark being depth at DB

Looking at all those underclassmen makes me think - if Dino can keep his job this year he should be in good shape down the road.
Was thinking about this the other day. Love the young talent on the roster!

Agree with everything except what needs to happen at QB. Hopefully your scenario plays out. We'll see.

I think Devito is going pull a Nassib (got a ton of crap here pre-2012) because really smart, really hard working kids with laser beam arms tend to work out by the end of their career.

However, I remain bullish because if I happen to be wrong, Shrader will be more than sufficient to still get to 8 wins (I do think Shrader lowers our ceiling a bit but definitely raises the floor for a couple reasons)

I’m not really sure how Sharder lowers the ceiling. Sharder was almost a .94 coming out of high school and had offers from a number of blue bloods.
He started as a true freshman in the sec. He was replaced at Mississippi st because leach wanted a different type of qb. He wanted a pure pocket passer.
TD may have a metamorphosis from the last two years but I think this team will do better with Sharder than TD.
Personal opinion. See how it plays out.

EJ Manuel was at practice and commented how well 82 did (Alford). Oronde Gadsden is another one to watch. I think both set us up well after Taj graduates.
