Donovan brings an inside presence that we have been missing with size (height and weight) on our team. It is not clear that how he would do in an ACC environment but he has attributes (height and ability to move laterally without falling down). He is the 10 best center in his class and ranked in the top 50. I don’t want to classify him as a project but he will be his first year. To that end, I would rather have Kyle Filipowski commit than Donovan. Both players have potential and  Donovan will dominate later in his college career with the right big man coaching.

Given the above, I still would want Donovan on the team but do not feel he will come to Syracuse. His closeness to his father leads me to believe that he will stay in Connecticut. In addition, Syracuse lacks a big man coach and has since Bernie Fine.
