Great to see Drew Smith pitching again so quickly.  And pitching well too.

Kind of shocking to see Dom Smith get sent down but roster space is tight and he just can't find his way out of this slump.  Looks like we Syracuse fans are going to see a lot of him for a while.  It gives him a chance to showcase his skills.  If he plays well here, it will increase his value and might well drive the Mets to finally trade him.

Could be a heck of a summer with possible rehab appearances from players like Tylor Megill, Trevor May, James McCann, Travis Jankowski, Max Scherzer and Jacob DeGrom coming soon.  Joey Lucchesi  might also pop up late.

With Smith gone, I am guessing we will see JD Davis get a lot of the DH at bats.  But with the way Luis Guillorme is hitting, you need to find a way to get him a lot of at bats too.

Sounds like Buck is trying hard to keep everyone healthy, giving rest to a banged up McNeil and letting Brandon heal up his ailing wrist the last few days.

Patrick Corbin, the second most famous athlete out of CNS, has really had a big fall in the last couple of years.  He gave up 7 earned runs and 12 hits in 4 1/3 innings to bring his ERA up to 6.96.  Ouch.  He might also be headed to the minors soon.  Or worse.  Still throws 93 or 94 mph.  Still has a good slider.  But he made a lot of bad pitches.
