They won today in extra innings.  The Mets lost in extra innings.  So a sweep would get the Braves in first before the all star game.

I am interested to watch Strider for the first time.  He is listed at 6’0 but looks 5’11 tops.  4th round draft choice out of Clemson in 2020, already pitching well in MLB.  He throws hard, up to 100 MPH.  Has Nestor like mustache that looks really out of place.

Really uses his body throwing that big fastball.  Looks like a SS pitching in an emergency.  Very raw motion.  But he has been effective so far.

It is going to be hard for him to stay healthy throwing that way.

I will be happy to get one win here.  Especially if McNeil hs to miss the series due to paternity leave.  Pretty sure we will be without Marte and McCann as well.  Marte was red hot when he got hurt, McNeil has been a rock all season and even McCann was starting to hit.

Baseball is a long term war and superior depth overcomes a lot.  The Mets are much improved but are still missing some pieces and the depth is not sure it needs to be.
