2022 NFL Thread

He was awful yesterday. I could not believe that score and at one point I looked down and he was 10-30?

I said it already but It's so bad you almost wonder if he had money on Washington.

Also nice of the NFL to ignore the blatant taunting penalty at the end of the Seahawks game that also led to the win after the terrible Punting call.

Rams have like 5 late calls go against them that were all bad calls.
So if we're following the breadcrumbs would the reason for this be a Seattle win knocked out Detroit and theoretically makes Detroit less fired up last night? With some of the calls that GB got I could see the NFL doing as much as they could to get Rodgers in there but at some point like 2007 WVU vs Pitt there's only so much the refs can do if the favored team insists on giving the game away.

Bengals only had 7 home games this year.

Think thats part of why they’re upset and to me that’s justified
Cincy basically wanted nothing less than to be awarded a full out victory for being up 7-3 with almost the entire game left to play. They were cool about it initially, but now that 3 is doing better, their stupidity is leaking out

Nfl handled it as well as they could. Anyone in Buffalo’s or Cincy’s positions would complain about the same stuff.

Its dumb enough they changed the playoffs as is

Curious on the Baker INT just a bad pass or was the distance needed to throw the right pass beyond his limitations another 10 yards on that and the game is over

Are u talking about Cinci fans or the organization?

Not enough discussion about Rodgers potentially being washed going into next season. He can't move anymore.

His arm sure looks dead to me too.

It definitely does but he will be back next year to play somewhere, he's following the Favre model where you talk about retiring every year for 5 years. Isn't he on the books for something like 60 mil next year? he won't walk away from that

Sounds like it’s time for him to be traded to the Jets.

I'm sick of Peyton and McVay not hanging in for the rebuilds - its why Parcells (IMHO) is the best. He started from scratch.

I don't really agree with this. They built the Saints and Rams from nothing. Payton stuck with the saints for 15 seasons. Parcells never stayed anywhere longer than 8 seasons.

It certainly sounds like Lamar is bailing on the Ravens this weekend without a contract extension.

yeah I think Payton truly needed a break as well. 15 years with one team is a long time. He did a lot for the organization and the city. He started right after Katrina. I think he was pretty honest that he was going to coach again when he left too and Saints will be compensated as well when he takes another job most likely in a couple weeks . Be interesting what he does to put a staff together as most his old staff is still in new orleans.

The McVay stuff is so obvious. He knows they have no outs and he’s playing the “oh I’m burnt out” card., if Stafford’s spinal cord wasn’t mush and they had all their pics, he’d be singing a different tune. This is just a way for him to sneak to another team in a couple years

Mcshay has Bryce young as 1st overall . I don’t see it. Stroud is the better nfl prospect. Young is puny and puts himself at risk . Stroud is a solid 220, mobile, big arm , and uses his mobility much more wisely

Tend to agree

Bryce is extremely slight and from the sound of it will weigh in and measure even smaller than many think. Great talent but you have to wonder if he will hold up. A guy like Russell Wilson is short but dude is very stout with huge hands. It's a real risk that needs to be considered.
