A lot of this is moot because Betts wanted out anyway. The David Price salary dump was a good move. The Dodgers will be choking on Betts' contract for several years on the back end. Even the NYY have shown that they have a finite budget. That said, I hope Boston makes every effort to sign Bogaerts and Devers with very competitive offers.
