2022 Yankees Season

Yup. This will be on Yankees classics for a long time.

What a game.

Not only did Stanton get a badly needed (for him especially) game winner, but Chappy got the W. :)

And a most memorable first game in pinstripes for Harrison Bader (from nearby Bronxville). :)

Anyone else remember Cabrera's catch at the wall in left? :)

Rizzo got a timely big hit to help make up for his error in the top of the 8th. :)

I’m not a Yankees fan. (Blue jays fan). But I just wanted to tell you from the outside looking in, what a freaking class act judge is and how he’s truly a guy I can root for even though he’s on a division rival. What a talent and what a dude. He gets it. Much happier to win the game than to hit his historic 60th.

I wouldn't pitch to Judge if I was the opposition, particularly with men on base. I don't think my O's have gotten him out in three seasons more than a handful of times.

That was a solid outing by the Pirate closer - I have never seen a guy lose a 4 run lead in 5 batters. I loved the announcers praising the Bucs skipper for taking a page from Showalter in playing hard to the very end ...and then he let's Red Ruffing's nephew throw slow pitch softball to 5 guys.

In fairness, Judge came up in the 9th as the leadoff hitter with the Pirates up 4 runs. You're not really going to pitch around him, but you shouldn't groove one either. Be interesting to see how they pitch him tonight.

How many of you are giving up that #60 HR ball for a couple signed balls and a signed bat?Im reading the ball is probably worth 150k.
As much as I like the Yanks an Judge I’m getting more than a couple autographed balls and bat.

Aaron Boone said they will not be activating Zack Britton just yet. He does think it’ll happen at some point, they’re just evaluating day by day. Scott Effross will be activated tomorrow.

Matt Carpenter’s x-rays showed healing and he will be able to begin doing more. He’s standing in on a bullpen today. Best case scenario for both Carpenter and Andrew Benintendi would be activation in a postseason round.

DJ LeMahieu “probably” won’t be 100% when he returns, but the Yankees are going to get him as close to there as possible.
