I think that Cashman would basically open the entire farm for Soto. Tho' Bowden reported that the Nats absolutely positively want to move local CNY boy Corbin's contract (~$70m remaining) with Soto and could take a lesser prospect package to do so. Corbin may not be a top-4 starter any longer, but Blake might also be able to get something out of him to eat innings.

If you look at his stats from the past couple of seasons, Corbin has been one of, if not the worst starting pitcher in all of Major League Baseball. Maybe it’s a good thing they didn’t sign him when he was a free agent.
