Putting different pieces together (fracture , heard a pop etc) it sounds like an avulsion fracture of the elbow.

Here’s to hoping. They usually wait a day for the MRI for the swelling to go down.
If they find any ligament damage, he gone for a while.
Yanks play at 7 PM tonight. I don't expect any updates until 4 PM.
Agree , but OX brings up a good point that they haven’t ruled out ligament damage as well. I’m just guessing.![]()
Avulsion fracture: How is it treated?
Surgery is rarely needed to reattach a small chunk of bone when it gets pulled away from the main part of the bone by a tendon or ligament.www.mayoclinic.org
"Most avulsion fractures heal very well without surgical intervention."

I think the Yankees will give it an honest go with Judge. Soto is only guaranteed until the end of 2024. Pitching is more the concern right now. Particularly if they are low balling Sevy’s return window. The camera did pan the dugout the other night and he flexed his right arm as if to show he’s ok, so who knows.Hmmm, Soto is 23, Judge is 30 ... just sayin' ...
Yankees definitely need pitching, they don’t definitely need Soto.I’d be shocked if they ended up getting Soto when they could of used all that capital to get some really good pitching.I think the Yankees will give it an honest go with Judge. Agree. Cashman usually keeps things close to the vest. I do know if Corbin is part of the deal for Soto that probably doesn’t move the needle for pitching.Yankees definitely need pitching, they don’t definitely need Soto.I’d be shocked if they ended up getting Soto when they could of used all that capital to get some really good pitching.

Yeah. I see your point. I guess the Yankees will try and determine if 2 plus years of Soto is worth the prospect drain. No guarantee he extends with the Yankees once he hits free agency anyway.IIRC, Judge is in the last year of his contract. My thinking was that since they're going to have to pay a bundle either way, wouldn't they go after the much younger one? For the record, I like Judge - doesn't everyone here? - and would like to see him re-signed. But it's a business. The Oilers traded Gretzky, the Pats let Brady walk, likewise Washington and Scherzer, and Tyreek's a Dolphin. So who knows? View attachment 218498
