Watching the game last night and talking with someone about Sears (5' 11" 180) how his size resembles Guidry (5'11" 161) and how great a job Sears was doing picking his spots with a lot of success. Makes you really appreciate how great Guidry was for an extended time (top seven Cy Young voting six different times). And then you look at Guidry's bio and see that he will be married to his wife for 50 years this September and you just wonder how time has flown by so fast and you are getting old!!!

I met Gator at an autograph signing about 10 years ago. He couldn’t have been nicer or more gracious. He insisted on shaking my son’s hand and speaking with him for a few minutes before signing his baseball.
