The truism you're using applies only when a positional unit is already filled with proven commodities.  That's why with Jesse returning, Dickenson [for example] wouldn't consider SU going forward, whereas he might have if Jesse had departed.  And in all likelihood, it may be difficult to pull additional guards if Judah pulls out of the draft, given the go-forward position that our backcourt is stacked.

But at forward?  The path to PT is ripe for the picking.

We as a fanbase tend to overestimate our players, relative to those outside the program.  Any starting caliber forward looking at SU isn't going to be scared off by any of our incumbent forwards, because they are all flawed to varying degrees.

Plus, if Red isn't looking to upgrade the talent overall, but at forward in particular, he's taking a big risk.
