Interesting that this tweet doesn't outright say he's going back to Lehigh. Just that he's using his last year of eligibility. Obviously Syracuse will be pretty desperate for a FOGO in the portal next year. The good news/bad news is that not too many teams that are attractive to fifth years "need" a fogo. The following ACC/Big 10 teams, plus Denver and Georgetown look pretty set at FOGO: UVA: I think LaSalla is coming back for his fifth year. They get a top freshman in Mac Eldridge as well. UNC: Still should have Tucci (would be a fifth year) and Tyeyar Notre Dame: Will Lynch will only be a sophomore Duke: Naso would only be a junior Hopkins: Would have Nawreski available as a fifth year, also have a promising freshman in Callahan Michigan: Would have Rowlett back for a fifth year and Weinfieldt would be a junior (both are over 50%). Maryland: Wierman would be a senior. Denver: Stathkis is back for his senior year. Georgetown: The big wild card, James Reilly is apparently in the portal but I still think he goes back. The teams Syracuse will most likely be competing with for a FOGO are Ohio State who I beleive losses Inacio, Penn State who is under 50% right now and Rutgers whose main guy is just at 50%. I'm probably missing a few teams here but that's all I can think of for now. I'm excluded Ivy League teams and Patriot League teams since I don't think those teams typically can accommodate 5th years. I may be wrong about that. Of course a number of FOGOs might have multiple years of eligibility like Chase Mullins who left UNC. Also it should go unsaid but a lot could change. A player with fifth year eligibility decides he's done, or wants to go to a different school could open up a spot unexpectedly. Also a more than a few players who are their teams number two will probably enter the portal looking for a starting job elsewhere. A lot like the carousel we see in college football when it comes to quarterbacks. Anyways, just something that has been on my mind. I'm sure if Sisselberg does enter the portal, he'll have his pick of schools. Notre Dame accommodated Kyle Gallagher even though they already had Charlie Leonard on the roster last year. TD Irelan joined Denver when they had Stathkis. But at the very least Syracuse should be strongly positioned to offer a top player a very easy path to lots of face-off reps. That has to be a good selling point.
